The contract requires implementation of NIST Special Publication 800-171 controls to safeguard Covered Defense Information across all applicable systems and environments. This includes establishing, maintaining, and verifying compliance with the full suite of security requirements outlined in the publication to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data processed, stored, or transmitted by the subcontractor. The contractor must align internal policies, technical safeguards, and personnel training programs with these standards and demonstrate continuous adherence through documentation and assessments. Additionally, the contract mandates prompt and accurate cyber incident reporting in accordance with applicable Department of Defense procedures. Any suspected or confirmed security breach affecting Covered Defense Information must be identified, contained, reported, and remediated immediately, with full cooperation in any ensuing investigation. The subcontractor is expected to operate under the Defense Logistics Agency’s oversight, adhering to all contractual obligations tied to the NAICS code 541512 and maintaining compliance throughout the lifecycle of the work performed under this agreement.
