The contract entails the implementation and ongoing maintenance of NIST Special Publication 800-171 controls to ensure the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information across all applicable systems and environments. This includes establishing, validating, and sustaining security measures that meet federal requirements for safeguarding sensitive data, with a strong emphasis on continuous compliance and systemic resilience. The scope also covers robust incident reporting procedures to promptly detect, respond to, and document cybersecurity events involving CUI, ensuring timely communication and adherence to federal reporting standards. Additionally, the contract mandates comprehensive supply chain risk management practices to identify, assess, and mitigate threats originating from third-party vendors, contractors, or technological components.
