The Department of Homeland Security, specifically US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, intends to enter into a sole source contract with EMC Corporation for the renewal of hardware and software maintenance services for DMX 800 systems. These services include re-certification and are essential for the Cyber Crimes Center and its sharing agencies. Due to the proprietary nature of the software and the unique configuration of the systems, the government determined that only EMC certified technicians or Authorized Services Network partners can provide the necessary support. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with an anticipated award date around August 10, 2007. While the government intends to negotiate exclusively with EMC Corporation, the notice allows interested parties to identify their capabilities within a specified timeframe for the government to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted. This action is categorized under NAICS code 519190 and is managed by Contract Specialist Mae A. Kim.
