NAICS Code: 541511 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Research Triangle Park Procurement Operations Division (RTPPOD) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to RSA, 174 Middlesex Turnpike, Bedford, MA 01730, for the acquisition of a 6 month Enhanced Maintenance for AA on two (2) Premium 3 month service agreements on a per user basis for quantities between 20,005 - 50,000. RSA has exclusive copyrights, patents, and/or trade secret ownership; and, therefore, is the only vendor that can satisfy the requirement. In order to ensure correct system operation, the circumstance permitting Other than Full and Open Competition is FAR 6.302-1 Sole Source, *only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements*. The period of performance is expected to begin October 2012 through March 2013. All interested parties who believe they can provide the required maintenance/services, should fully explain their capabilities and qualifications in writing within 10 days from the date of this announcement. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any other source(s) exist; and, therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available.
