Full Description

This is a special notice of intent to extend the current contract on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Reasonable Source and No Other Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to Harris IT Services Corporation, 21000 Atlantic Blvd Ste 300 Dulles, VA 20166-2496, for MACH Help Desk services for a six (6) month period from 1 October 2013 through 31 March 2014. This extension is necessary because a competitive follow-on contract to continue services beyond 30 September 2013 is not yet in place. At this point and time, it would be most advantageous to the Government to modify the current contract which would allow services to continue uninterrupted in accordance with FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, until a new contract is in place. This special notice of intent to extend the current contract is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A response to this notice is not required.
