D--National Database Nursing Quality Indicators Membership

The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Press Ganey Associates Inc. This order will be to provide a membership/subscription to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), for the Charles George VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Asheville, NC. This subscription requires access to the database with no restrictions, 24/7, Help Desk services, and necessary quarterly and annual reports at the unit-level performance to compare state, national, and regional percentile distributions. Press Gainey Associates, Inc. has been identified as the only authorized dealer who can supply this service. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice, and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.106-1 (b).
