D--Notice of Intent to Sole Source (maintenance on existing Rauland-Borg Nurse Call System Devices)

The Southern Regional Contracting Office-West, Fort Sam Houston, TX, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Advanced Communication & Cabling, Inc., 120 Market Street, Georgetown, TX, 78626. The proposed contract action is for maintenance for existing Rauland-Borg Nurse Call System Devices, Conexxal Software and Tek-Tone models for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate, under the authority of section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501(a) (1)(ii) sole source acquisitions. The acquisition is for The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX. This is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government believes that only one responsible source can satisfy the agency requirements. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this acquisition by 27 December 2010 @ 4 p.m. CST. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
