The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Radiation and Indoor Environments division plans to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order to BearCom Operating LP, doing business as BearCom, located in Garland, Texas. This procurement will be conducted under the Federal Acquisition Regulation's Simplified Acquisition Procedures, specifically FAR Part 13, with sole source authority under FAR Part 6.302-1, indicating that BearCom is considered the only available and responsible vendor capable of meeting the agency’s requirements for the installation of satellite radio and phone systems.
