The Securities and Exchange Commission is soliciting proposals for a prototype system designed to provide a user-friendly environment for accessing XBRL documents within the EDGAR system. This is an unrestricted, full and open competition for commercial items. The resulting agreement will be a Firm Fixed Price contract with incentives, consisting of one base period and two one-year options, with performance expected to begin around October 1, 2006. Additionally, the contractor is prohibited from releasing information regarding the award without prior written approval from the Contracting Officer. Proposal requirements specify that while at least one key staff member must be proposed, offerors may include more, provided each is accompanied by a maximum one-page resume.
