Full Description

Beaufort County has been awarded funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to install water and sewer infrastructure within Beaufort County’s jurisdictional boundaries. The Beaufort‐Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA), in partnership with the County of Beaufort have agreed to use ARPA funding to plan, permit, design, and construct a water line extension along Morgan Road between Trask Parkway and Keans Neck Road in the BJWSA Service Area (See Exhibit 1 and Exhibit 2). All property owners in the area are on wells, and a goal of the project is to get 100% of them off of wells, due to some concerns related to ground water quality. BJWSA will serve as the project manager and fiscal agent for the Project on behalf of the County of Beaufort. The engineering firm selected (Consultant) for this Project shall be required to prepare construction documents and administer construction in compliance with all terms and conditions established by the U.S. Department of the Treasury for ARPA funded projects.
