The project titled De kosten van niets doen: verspilling en gemiste kansen is an award notice issued by the Klimaatonderzoek Initiatief Nederland under the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek. The initiative addresses the lack of a coherent overview regarding the costs, social impacts, and risks linked to current and delayed climate policies, noting that while scientific data exists, it is currently too fragmented for policymakers, media, and citizens to use effectively. To resolve this, the project will aggregate existing Social Cost-Benefit Analyses across the sectors of climate, health, economy, and ecology into a single, publicly accessible platform. By emphasizing the interdependencies between these fields, the platform aims to improve the general understanding of inaction scenarios and the interconnected nature of global crises to better inform critical decision-making for the future.
