The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for the installation of a new fence at the Deer Creek State Park Maintenance Center in Mt Sterling, Ohio, to replace the existing deteriorated and unsafe fencing. The project involves installing 1,100 linear feet of 6-foot tall galvanized chain link fencing with 9-gauge fabric, supported by robust corner and line posts concreted at specified depths and spacing. The fencing will include a 24-foot cantilever roller sliding gate at the front entrance and a double swing gate totaling 24 feet at the rear to secure the maintenance area and valuable equipment, including a law enforcement evidence building added two years prior. All materials and installation procedures must meet industry standards, with strict requirements to prevent the introduction of invasive species on-site through clean equipment and use of new timber matting. Bidders are encouraged to conduct a site visit by appointment before submitting proposals, with Bob Kruse as the primary contact to schedule visits during business hours. The project completion deadline is May 22, 2026, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on a line-item basis.
