Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to De Nora Water Technologies LLC (De Nora), in the amount of $6,060.51 for the one-time purchase of De Nora’s services to program the existing filtration system to agitate the filters in order to release gas produced by the required chemicals. This feature will keep the Valrico facility in compliance to maintain their operating permit. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(15), of the County’s Procurement Policy, and is considered a sole source because the particular maintenance services are being performed on an existing system by the original equipment manufacturer/programmer and the services are only reasonably available from De Nora Water Technologies LLC. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached Quote # 20039092_D dated February 7, 2024, must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
