Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) wish to develop analytical methods capable of detecting and measuring the concentration of two substituted phenols, in final industrial effluents from facilities that use or manufacture these substances, in influents and effluents of municipal WWTPs, as well as in surface water. The analytical methods must detect and measure the concentrations of each of these 2 substances with a detection limit that is approximately one order of magnitude below the levels protective of aquatic organisms, or the lowest level technically feasible.
