Special Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source requirement for network subscription services for 911iNET Radio equipment for 573 Gainesville Florida 32608 and the coverage area. This will be used to cover latency and gaps of communication during emergencies and natural disasters. The VA Gainesville Police and Emergency Services has 911iNET Push-to-Talk (PTT) Radios that will need to operate off Radio Over IP (ROIP) servers to provide 24/7 E-911 telecommunications. They require a redundant and interoperable two-way radio communication system to support all facilities, and community partners. The contactor must provide access to all services and commercial carriers for operation throughout the North Florida/South Georgia areas. The applicable NAICS code is 515111 with a size standard of 35 million. The PSC is 7G22. The authority for this action is FAR 13.106-1 Items peculiar to one manufacturer.
