Dietary Hood Cleaning

The Illinois Department of Corrections is soliciting a qualified contractor under solicitation number 27-426DOC-HILLC-B-54678 to provide semiannual cleaning services for the commercial kitchen exhaust systems at the Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, Illinois. The scope of work includes the removal of grease and combustible deposits from six commercial kitchen hoods, nine associated ducts, six exhaust fans, and related grease-removal devices. To minimize operational disruptions, services are generally scheduled for Monday through Friday after 4:00 pm, excluding state holidays. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary personnel, tools, and equipment, as well as submitting Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used prior to the start of work. This small purchase contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and requires the contractor to maintain comprehensive insurance, including one million dollars in general commercial liability and auto liability per occurrence. Performance is subject to facility inspection, and final acceptance is contingent upon the correction of any deficiencies and the provision of all required service documentation. Payment is processed according to the State Prompt Payment Act, with invoicing typically occurring upon contract completion.
