AI Contract Overview
This contract calls for the supply of hypodermic needle and syringe disposal containers, with specific medical packaging and quality requirements applicable to all related medical acquisitions. Each disposal container is to be commercially packaged in sealed unit containers to protect against damage or breakage during transport. Additionally, these units must be shipped in suitable exterior containers that ensure safe delivery to the specified point of delivery at the lowest carrier rate. The containers must comply with Medical Marking Standard No. 1 for proper labeling, which supersedes previous military standards, and detailed requirements can be obtained through the Defense Logistics Agency. The disposal container itself is a red, polyethylene plastic unit measuring approximately 4 inches deep, 6.25 inches high, and 4.5 inches wide, with a hinged cover and foam filled with adhesive to secure blood needles. It has a nominal capacity of 1.0 quart. The contract specifies a purchase quantity of 10 each, with a delivery timeframe of 20 days after order. The solicitation number is SPE2DH-26-T-3026, managed by the Medical Supply Chain FSH under the Department of Defense, with the place of performance at Eglin Air Force Base, and Tina Vu as the primary point of contact. The contract incorporates both technical and quality standards as outlined in the Defense Logistics Agency’s master list and packaging requirements.
