District Child Development Phase III Project

The District Child Development Phase III Project, managed by the Clovis Unified School District, involves the construction of a new single-story, 15,540-square-foot child development facility, designated as Building E, on a 2.33-acre site. The facility is designed with a height of 25 feet to the top of the parapet. In addition to the primary building, the project scope encompasses significant site improvements, including the development of parking infrastructure, landscaping, and utility infrastructure. The project also provides for the future construction of a 14,000-square-foot District building. The project is located at the southeast corner of Herndon Avenue and North Fowler Avenue in Clovis, Fresno County, California, identified by Assessor Parcel Number 491-050-46S. A Notice of Exemption filed on October 9, 2025, indicates that the project is exempt under CEQA Guidelines Section 15332 for a Class 32 categorical exemption, as it aligns with General Commercial land use designations and is expected to have no significant environmental impacts. Administrative oversight for the project is provided by Nick Mele, Administrator of Facility Services for the Clovis Unified School District.
