District Website Platform

Tucson Unified School District is soliciting proposals for a new District Website Platform to replace its current CMS. The project involves managing four district-level websites and 88 individual school sites, requiring a modern, flexible system that supports unique branding while remaining interconnected. The scope of work includes CMS replacement, content migration, user training, design refresh, and the implementation of a mobile-first design. Key functional requirements include a draft-to-publish workflow, site-wide filterable search, and integration with educational software such as Synergy, Tyler, ParentSquare, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. The system must utilize Single Sign-On via Microsoft EntraID and maintain all server sites and backups within the continental United States. The contract is intended for a five-year term through June 30, 2032, with a target go-live date of July 1, 2027. A critical requirement is full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards to ensure ADA compliance by April 26, 2027. Evaluation of proposals is based on a weighted scale covering cost, responsiveness to the scope of work, qualifications, ADA compliance, customer service, ease of use, and security. Awardees must provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including professional liability and commercial general liability, and certify compliance with E-Verify and various state and federal regulations. Payment terms are set at net 30 days, and the final contract will take the form of a district purchase order.
