Full Description

The Iowa Department of Management (DOM), on behalf of the Iowa Department of Public Safety (DPS), is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to research available Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS) platforms and implementation approaches. DPS seeks solutions capable of supporting centralized digital evidence intake, storage, management, sharing, retention, legal hold, immutable audit trails, and chain-of-custody controls across the agency. DPS is researching a centralized DEMS to standardize metadata and hashing practices, streamline evidentiary and records-retention workflows, and build a unified, agency-wide platform that supports consistent, efficient evidence handling as the agency continues to grow.
Responses to this RFI will inform DPS's market analysis, technical and security due diligence, integration planning, rough order-of-magnitude cost and level-of-effort estimates, and planning for a future procurement.
