Dogtown Road over Indian Creek Bridge Replacement Project Initial Study/MND

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number CAL-65720-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Jacob Lile. The project is limited to the replacement of the existing bridge (#30C0051) with a new structure in the same location. The new bridge will be approximately 2 feet higher and 40 feet longer than the existing bridge. The bridge will be found on spread footings or short (10 to 15-foot long) cast-in drill hole piles socketed into the rock. The new bridge abutment construction will require two excavation areas approximately 35 feet wide by 15 feet long by 12 feet deep. Rock slope protection and construction fill will be placed under the bridge and within the Indian Creek channel and the roadway approaches will be widened and adjusted to match the grade of the new bridge.
