DOT-270001-Miamitown Full Service Maintenance - AE RFQ

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, on behalf of the Ohio Department of Transportation, is soliciting architectural and engineering services for the replacement of the Miamitown Full-Service Facility in Hamilton County. This project, with an estimated total cost of 11,530,000 dollars, requires a non-typical layout due to a smaller than average site. The scope of work encompasses the design, permitting, and construction administration of several key structures, including a 10,000 square foot truck storage building, a 5,000 square foot cold storage structure, a 2,500 ton salt storage structure, a vehicle wash bay, and various administration and maintenance sections, along with fuel and brine storage systems. The selected firm must provide comprehensive basic services ranging from program verification and schematic design to construction documents and closeout. A critical requirement includes providing at least 12 hours of on-site construction administration services per week. Selection is based on a point-based evaluation of qualifications, focusing on the firm's ability to meet project visions, budget, and schedules, as well as their experience with Critical Path Method schedules and specification writing. The lead professional must be a certified architect, landscape architect, or engineer under the Ohio Revised Code. The contract is governed by the State of Ohio's standard terms and conditions for professional services, which include mandates for nondiscrimination, drug-free safety programs, and compliance with the Federal Endangered Species Act. Participation in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity program is required, and the project is subject to state prevailing wages. Payments for basic services are made monthly based on professional services pay requests, with interest applicable to overdue payments per state law.
