This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69. This solicitation is a request for quotation and the closing date is 12:00 pm (CDT) on Monday, August 12, 2013. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333318 Other Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing and is set aside for Small Businesses. The Internal Revenue Service requires a maintenance agreement (no lease, rental or purchase) for two Neopost DS-140 cutsheet inserters. The two machines are located in two different locations. One is located at 112 North 700 west, Ogden, UT 84404. The other is located at 985 Michigan Ave., Detroit, MI 48226. These two machines were purchased by the IRS two years ago and have been serviced since the purchase. The IRS is requesting this maintenance agreement to last a total of 5 years, a base + four option periods beginning 9/1/2013. Each machine shall be priced separately for each year. The pricing shall note the billing cycle requested and shall also clearly list the total contract price. The DUNS number for the company supplying the quote shall be clearly listed. Base Year: 9/1/2013 - 8/31/2014 Option Year I: 9/1/2014 - 8/31/2015 Option Year II: 9/1/2015 - 8/31/2016 Option Year III: 9/1/2016 - 8/31/2017 Option Year IV: 9/1/2017 - 8/31/2018 All FAR Clauses and provisions may be read electronically at https://www.acquisition.gov/far/index.html.
