On 09/21/2022, Raytheon Company, Tewksbury, Massachusetts, was awarded a $160,171,318 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and cost-only contract for Dual Band Radar (DBR) Design Agent and Technical Engineering efforts. Engineering services and supplies are required to support the DBR systems installed aboard CVN78 and DDG1000 class ships. This contract includes options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $440,640,174. Work will be performed in Tewksbury, Massachusetts (40%), Marlborough, Massachusetts (20%), San Diego, California (15%), Norfolk, Virginia (10%), Andover, Massachusetts (5%), Portsmouth, Rhode Island (5%), and Chesapeake, Virginia (5%), and is expected to be completed by September 2023. If all options are exercised, work will continue through September 2027. This contract (N00024-22-C-5501) was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
