The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Life Technologies Corporation, for the purchase of Dynabeads M-280 Streptavidin 100ML Life Technologies Corporation is the only manufacturer and vendor of Dynabeads. Dynabeads have a uniform spherical shape with highly defined, uniform, and consistent product characteristics. Dynabeads Strepavidin-coated, by Life Technologies Corporation, are necessary to produce 300 kits which will be used to complete the validation of this assay. Use of a different material would invalidate previous performance results. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.
