eDNA Fluorometers

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, through its Intermountain Region office in Ogden, Utah, is soliciting seven AmpliFire Pro isothermal fluorometers under solicitation number 1240LR26Q0010, issued as a Request for Quotation under FAR Part 12 for commercial items. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside, limited to concerns meeting the 1,000-employee size standard under NAICS code 334516, and is intended to support environmental monitoring efforts in Idaho watersheds following the detection of quagga mussels near Twin Falls. The fluorometers are critical for real-time, on-site detection of aquatic invasive species using LAMP-based technology and must meet 16 specific salient characteristics, including a rechargeable battery with six-plus hours of operation, three fluorescent channels, touchscreen interface, internal memory for 1,000+ runs, USB and QR code connectivity, and the ability to analyze 20μL samples at reaction temperatures between 45–72°C.
