The Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene is seeking to procure specialized resources to support the execution of multiple major IT development projects over the coming years. These projects include significant modernization initiatives such as implementing an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, Bed Registry, and Electronic Licensing systems. The selected resources will be instrumental in conducting current state assessments and documenting workflows to ensure a thorough understanding of existing business operations. They will also provide subject matter expertise to assist business teams, facility project teams, and external stakeholders, promoting best practices and ensuring that system requirements align with business needs. Given the complexity of Maryland’s technology environment and the interdependencies among various projects and business units, these resources may be required to work cross-functionally across multiple initiatives, often being assigned to core project teams but potentially supporting multiple projects depending on workload and specialization. The solicitation for these resources, titled "EHR Resources F50B0600045-34," was posted on March 25, 2024, with a response deadline of April 8, 2024. The project falls under the NAICS code 517919 and is managed by the State and Local Government (SLED) sector. The primary point of contact is Rodney Spence, whose email is provided for inquiries. The contract aims to facilitate the successful implementation of these critical health IT modernization efforts, ensuring that the department’s operational and technological objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
