Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations At City Operations Center (COC)

The City of Oceanside is soliciting bids for Capital Improvements Project No. 26-00010 to construct hardscape and install electric vehicle charging stations at the City Operations Center located at 4927 Oceanside Blvd., Oceanside, California. The scope of work includes the installation of five dual port Level 2 charging stations, one Level 3 charging station, switch gear, and a transformer, all of which are furnished by the City. The contractor is responsible for the receiving, handling, and commissioning of this equipment, as well as the construction of concrete pads, bollards, underground conduits, pavement restoration, and the application of EV Charging Only parking stall striping. All work must be completed within 50 working days of the commencement date, with work starting within 15 days of the Notice to Proceed. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest responsive total bid amount. Bidders must provide performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the contract award and comply with both State and Federal Prevailing Wage Rates. The project is subject to Buy America requirements for permanently incorporated construction materials and must adhere to strict non-discrimination and equal employment opportunity standards. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Oceanside City Clerk by 2:00pm on October 28, 2026. Final acceptance of the work is contingent upon the submission of as-built plans and the satisfaction of the City Engineer.
