Electrical Safety Training Program Development Project

The Western Area Power Administration’s Desert Southwest Region is conducting market research through a Sources Sought announcement for the development of a customized Electrical Safety Training Program, identified by solicitation number 26WA161204. The training must address safe and unsafe contact, voltage awareness, minimum approach distances, arc flash boundaries, proper use of personal protective equipment, induced voltage, step-and-touch potential, control room and substation hazards, trip and fall risks, and emergency response protocols. The presentation will be delivered to the Western Area Power Administration in Phoenix, Arizona, with full rights and a perpetual license granted to the government upon completion. A subject matter expert must be engaged in the development process to ensure alignment with WAPA’s high-voltage operational environment, which includes over 17,000 circuit miles of transmission lines and more than 150 substations operating up to 525kV.
