Full Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a sole source Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract modification under contract N00019-16-G-0006 Delivery Order 0001 to General Atomics, San Diego, California for the procurement of AAG and EMALS sustainment efforts in support of the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) Class aircraft carriers. The supplies and services procured under the contract action include non-recurring engineering, technical data, drawing changes, and other associated logistics products. Additionally, services under this contract action also include technical assistance for Ford Class aircraft carriers and all test sites. The contract was awarded in the amount of $12,178,325.00, with a Period of Performance of 22 Mar 2018 to 31 Aug 2019. General Atomics is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the EMALS and AAG systems. As such, GA is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical expertise to provide the required supplies and services. The awarded Order is for the supplies and services for which the Government solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority of Title 10, U.S.C.
