Electron Beam Evaporation System

Texas A&M University is soliciting bids for an electron beam evaporation system designed to deposit micron-scale metallic films on multiple substrates simultaneously, with capacity to handle 13 four-inch wafers and five six-inch wafers in a single run. The system must include a 12 kW power supply, six 15 cc crucibles, and substrate heating capability up to 250°C, along with a mass flow controller and associated hardware for controlled gas bleed into the vacuum chamber. Brand and model references are for illustrative purposes only; vendors may propose equivalent systems provided they submit the manufacturer name, model number, and a detailed specification sheet for agency review and final determination of equivalency. The equipment must be delivered to College Station, Texas, under FOB Destination terms, with all shipping, handling, duties, and tariffs included in the bid price. Installation is mandatory and must be performed by a qualified representative from the original equipment manufacturer, followed by full operational demonstration and removal and disposal of all packaging materials. A minimum 12-month warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship is required from the date of acceptance. The solicitation mandates compliance with U.S. export control regulations including ITAR/ECCN requirements, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Sections 889 and 1260H, and Executive Order GA-48, requiring vendors to certify they are not affiliated with foreign adversaries or restricted entities as defined by 15 C.F.R. § 791.4.
