This contract pertains to the procurement of electronic components assembly, specifically designated by NSN 5998-01-621-9651, with a procurement request number 0054854558. The acquisition involves purchasing between 11 to 15 units of assemblies manufactured by Scientific Research Corp., under part number 900008. Deliveries are scheduled with an initial batch of 10 units to be delivered within 180 days, followed by any remaining units supplied at a rate of 5 units every 30 days. The delivery destination is the DLA Distribution center in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with shipment terms set as FOB origin under the First Destination Transportation (FDT) program, except where Foreign Military Sales or APO/FPO addresses apply, in which case different shipping procedures are followed. The contract process excludes the use of commercial item acquisition policies per market research and is restricted to approved sources possessing the necessary technical data rights, specifically Scientific Research Corp. as authorized by 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Although price will play a significant role in the evaluation, award decisions will also consider delivery schedules, past performance, and other evaluation criteria outlined in the solicitation. The original solicitation was set to be available around December 23, 2014, through the Defense Logistics Agency’s bidding portal; however, an amendment (0001) later cancelled the solicitation entirely. The acquisition specialist contact for the contract is Kenneth Planty.
