Public notice is hereby given that Fallowfield Township will receive sealed bids electronically via PennBid until 3:00 P.M. prevailing time on _Wednesday, September 2, 2026 for the following Contract: CONTRACT NO. 2026-01 (LS 24-07) ELEMENTARY PARK IMPROVEMENTS This project includes the removal of existing bituminous concrete pavement adjacent to the Township Pavilion and the installation of new bituminous concrete paving and pavement markings, as shown on the drawings, to meet ADA requirements. Work also includes creating a new concrete ramp and sidewalk to connect to the playground's ADA-accessible entrance and installing new handrails on both sides of the ramp and timber steps to improve access between the pavilion and playground. Additional work includes the installation of a 4-inch HDPE perforated underdrain in the pavilion area, landscaping improvements, and the relocation of the existing wooden fence and ADA parking sign, as indicated on the drawing. Plans and specifications are available at no cost via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) Bidders may not qualify any of the specifications. Immediately after the closing time for receipt of bids, all bids will be publicly opened with results displayed on PennBid. A certified check payable to Fallowfield Township or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid, to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the Owner's office located at 9 Memorial Drive, Charleroi, PA 15022. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
