HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER Beaver, Pennsylvania INVITATION TO BID The HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER will receive sealed bids, in duplicate , until 1:00 PM. (local time) on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the office of the Housing Authority of the County of Beaver, 300 State Ave, Beaver, Pennsylvania at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following: Elevator Modernization Thomas Bishop Apartments, Brodhead Apartments and Sheffield Towers Proposed forms of contract documents, including Plans and Specifications may be obtained from the Housing Authority of the County of Beaver by first mailing $ 125.00 in the form of a check made payable to the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER, 300 State Ave, Beaver, PA 15009 for each set of documents so obtained . An additional $15.00 is required if you want it mailed. DEPOSITS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE . All bidders are REQUIRED to buy the full set of plans and specifications. Plans and specifications will be available on Thursday, July 9, 2026 . Please call to arrange for pick-up. (724) 775-1220 ext 2022. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BEAVER , U.S. Government Bonds or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable securities in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. All required Contract Documents must be completed and submitted with the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance, labor and material, and maintenance bonds of 100% with good and sufficient surety, and will be required to provide same within ten (10) days of contract award. Prior to award of any contract, the Housing Authority will conduct a pre-contract survey of a Bidder's past performance. Consideration will be given to such matters as bidder’s integrity, compliance with the public policy, record of past performance, and financial and technical resources. Invitation to Bid EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for Federally-assisted Construction Contracts. The Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sexual preference, handicap or national origin. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to Build America, Buy America and Section 3 Compliance. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Thomas Bishop Apartments, 1023 6th Ave, New Brighton, PA 15066.
