Ellisville State School at the South Mississippi Regional Center is seeking qualified staffing agencies to provide professional nursing and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) services for community homes located in Poplarville, Wiggins, Gautier, and Biloxi, Mississippi. This requirements contract is tentatively scheduled to begin on January 1, 2027, and end on June 30, 2027, with the possibility of four successive one-year renewals. The awarded contractor must provide qualified, drug-free personnel available seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Key operational requirements include maintaining a 24/7 contact person, implementing a documented quality control program, and ensuring all staff undergo criminal background checks every two years and abuse registry checks. To be eligible, bidders must have at least five years of experience providing similar services, a history of placing at least 40 nursing employees within the last two years, and a physical office in the SMRC area. Required certifications include a Health Care Staffing Services certification and registration in good standing with the Mississippi Secretary of State. Bids are evaluated through a two-stage process: first, a pass/fail review of minimum qualifications and reference scoring, followed by a cost evaluation where the contract is awarded to the lowest bidder based on the average of hourly rates across service categories.
