Elverta Road Widening

The Elverta Road Widening project, also known as the Elverta Road Bridge Replacement Project, is a Sacramento County initiative managed under Permit No. 19704 in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6. The project is located on Elverta Road over Dry Creek within the Dry Creek Designated Floodway. The primary scope of work involves removing an existing two-lane bridge and constructing a new six-lane reinforced concrete bridge supported by nine new bents, with reconstructed bridge approaches to accommodate the increased width. Additional infrastructure improvements include the installation of ten new 2-foot diameter cross-culvert pipes west of the bridge to manage drainage and prevent backwater on Elverta Road. Furthermore, an existing double arch corrugated metal pipe culvert east of 28th Street will be replaced with an 8-foot by 5-foot double-cell reinforced concrete box culvert. The Central Valley Flood Protection Board has issued a Notice of Determination stating that the project will not have a significant environmental effect within its jurisdiction, following the completion of an Environmental Impact Report. The project is classified under NAICS code 237310 and was posted as a forecast on June 29, 2026.
