Elverta Road Widening

Sacramento County is preparing to approve Permit No. 19704 under California Code of Regulations Title 23 Article 3 Section 6 to authorize flood control work within an adopted plan, specifically for the Elverta Road Widening project. The scope includes demolishing the existing two-lane bridge and replacing it with a new six-lane reinforced concrete bridge supported by nine new bents, along with reconstructing the approaches to match the expanded width. To enhance drainage and mitigate backwater issues west of the bridge, ten new 2-foot diameter cross-culvert pipes will be installed. Additionally, the existing double arch corrugated metal pipe culvert east of 28th Street will be replaced with an 8-foot by 5-foot double-cell reinforced concrete box culvert to improve flow capacity and structural integrity.
