Bid #07202026: The City of Merced Fire Department is seeking qualified contractors for a three-year, on-call contract to provide 24/7 emergency board-up services. The selected contractor must be able to respond within one hour to secure properties following fires or other incidents. The scope of work includes boarding up all openings (doors, windows), providing temporary roof coverings with tarps, installing temporary fencing, and performing structural stabilization as needed. A significant component of the service is providing victim assistance, which includes support for food, clothing, shelter, and referrals, in partnership with the Red Cross of Central California. The contractor is responsible for supplying all necessary manpower, supplies, and equipment for each service call.
