Construction outside the facility boundaries includes a driveway sufficiently wide to allow vehicles that accidentally enter to turn around, frontage improvements, ADA ramps, a landscaped island in the driveway that extends into facility property, and the relocation of a light pole and fire hydrant. This project provides an opportunity to reduce traffic congestion, improve accessibility, and enhance the overall safety and efficiency of traffic circulation for SBMWD staff and for those in the broader community who access and travel along Chandler Place.
