Full Description

This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing a contract to provide engineering services of the AN/ALQ-161 System. It provides to resolve Obsolete Part and Vanishing Vendor issues with resolve Obsolete Part and Vanishing Vendor issues with the NSN 5915-01-270-8103EW Switched RF Filter P/N 7547504P2, NSN 5996-01-270-4805EW RF Amplifier P/N 754751819P1, and NSN 5996-01-264-4623EW RF Amplifier P/N 7547518P15 of the AN/ALQ-161 System. This effort will also solve part availability problems. The contractor will consider an increase in the realiability and maintainability of the system during this effort. Prototypes will be built to validate performance of the modified designs and manufacturing processes. Basic Period of Performance is 18 months ARO. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, BAE, CAGE CODE 94117 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Letter RFP will be issued to the sole source contractor so any potential sources must contact the issuing buyer. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified below for additional information, Note 8, 22, 26.
