Engineering Services for Parks & Facilities Library

Sarasota County is seeking qualified engineering firms to be included in a Professional Services Library to provide continuing professional engineering services for parks and facilities projects on an as-needed basis. The anticipated initial contract term is five years, and the agreement is structured as a CCNA Continuing Services Agreement. The scope of work is comprehensive, covering all project phases from pre-design, schematic design, and construction documents to permitting, bidding support, and project closeout. All services must comply with Section 287.055 of the Florida Statutes, and design elements may include LEED and Green Building standards. To qualify, firms must submit proposals via the OpenGov portal, including a single-page letter of interest, an organizational chart, and resumes of key personnel. At least one key person must be a registered Professional Engineer licensed by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers and possess experience in the civil engineering design of parks planning and development. All key personnel must be direct employees of the proposer. The selection process involves a multi-stage evaluation by the Professional Services Review Committee, consisting of written proposal scoring followed by potential public presentations for the highest-scoring firms. Selected consultants must maintain professional liability and business automobile liability insurance of at least 1,000,000 dollars each and name Sarasota County Government as an additional insured on their commercial general liability coverage.
