Montgomery County Dept of A& I Bridge 185 Construction Inspection

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is seeking a PennDOT prequalified consultant or consulting team to provide full-time on-site construction oversight and inspection for the replacement of Bridge 185 on Germantown Pike over Five Mile Run in East Norriton Township. The project is anticipated to commence in early 2027 with a duration of approximately nine months. The required staffing includes a part-time supervisory inspector-in-charge and a full-time on-site inspector with specific TCIS-2 and TCI-3 certifications. The selected firm will be responsible for maintaining daily inspection logs in accordance with PennDOT Pub 8, managing submittals and payment requests, and providing final project close-out documentation within one month of completion. This is a qualifications-based solicitation where cost proposals are not requested during the initial submission. The County will rank at least three firms based on team experience, consultant capabilities, schedule management, QA/QC processes, software proficiency, and public relations skills. The top-ranked firm will then negotiate a technical and cost proposal conforming to PennDOT Publication 93 and SOL 433-23-2.
