Full Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice. Anticipated release of the RFP is June 24th, 2013. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will procure engineering services to allow organic depot repair capability for the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) Improved Quick Disconnect Cables (IQDC). The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. This requirement is not a Set-aside. The address for the contracting office is AFLCMC/WNKCA, 235 Byron St STE 19A, Robins AFB, GA 31098-1607 The Contractor shall upgrade all equipment and tooling, provide any new equipment and/or tooling, deliver upgrades to the Technical Orders (T.O.), and develop and deliver a training course on the updated repair capability of the IQDC at the AFLCMC depot. This is a standalone effort that will have a direct impact on reducing Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Parts (MICAP) requisitions, backorders, and wait-time for the customers. The basic period of performance shall require the contractor to complete all work within 12 months after contract award. Option I will require the Contractor provide maintenance and on-call support for 12 months pertaining to the repair of the IQDC and/or equipment/tooling delivered under the basic contract, except as otherwise extended through the exercise of an option. There are no specification or qualification requirements available to the government. Additional information may be obtained from the AFLCMC/WNYBBB program office. A proposal is due July 24th, 2013.
