EPCOR has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking a qualified contractor to construct a washroom pavilion at the Lauderdale dog park in Alberta. The project involves comprehensive building construction activities, including laying the foundation, exterior work, and internal installation of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Additionally, the scope covers exterior landscaping features such as a rain garden and connecting pathway electrical lighting—although the lighting installation itself will be completed by other contractors—to the washroom's electrical panel. The construction will take place concurrently with dry pond and sewer works, necessitating close coordination with other contractors and measures to minimize disruption to the public using the temporary dog park, which must remain accessible throughout the construction period. EPCOR retains discretion over which entities within its network the terms of the submitted proposals may apply to and does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information in the RFP, requiring proponents to conduct their own evaluations. The solicitation, identified as AB-2026-04284, was posted on June 5, 2026, with a proposal submission deadline of June 26, 2026. The Contracting Authority for this opportunity is Hussein Aboudib, who can be contacted via the provided email. The project falls under the Government of Canada’s EPCOR umbrella and will be performed within Alberta.

The intent of this RFP is to find a Successful Proponent capable of providing the Work described immediately below. A more detailed description of the Work can be found in Appendix 1 (Information). The scope of work for this RFP includes the construction of a washroom pavilion at the Lauderdale dog park. The work mainly involves building construction, including foundation, exterior, internal furnishing of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, exterior landscaping, including rain garden, and the connection of pathway electrical lighting (pathway lighting to be installed by other contractors) to the washroom electrical panel. Work will be completed in tandem with ongoing dry pond and sewer construction and thus coordination with other contractor(s) will be required, and care will need to be taken to limit impacts to the public that occupy the surrounding temporary dog park, which needs to remain open through construction. EPCOR makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of the information contained in this RFP. The Proponent is responsible for making its own evaluation of information and data contained in this RFP and in preparing and submitting its Reply.
