Epcor - Request for Proposal - Crane Rental and Operator

EPCOR is seeking a contractor to provide a diverse range of cranes, including boom trucks, rough terrain cranes, hydraulic trucks, and all-terrain cranes, to support lifting operations in high voltage environments. These cranes will be operated by certified personnel compliant with Alberta’s health, safety, and environmental legislation. The services are required on an as-needed basis across multiple locations, primarily in Edmonton and potentially at the Genesee site about 70 kilometers southwest. The contractor must be capable of delivering multiple crane types with operators simultaneously to different work sites, often on very short notice, sometimes within less than a day. The contract will be established through a three-year agreement, with two optional one-year extensions, allowing EPCOR to retain flexibility in contractor selection. EPCOR reserves the right to award the contract to more than one proponent, maintaining a competitive environment. The solicitation was posted in June 2026, with a response deadline later that month. The successful contractor will be expected to meet strict operational standards and ensure reliable, rapid service delivery throughout Alberta.
