AI Contract Overview
The 99th Contracting Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base is conducting market research under a Sources Sought Notice, identified as F3G5GA6160A002, to gather information from potential vendors capable of supporting live-fire training with Trackless Moving Targets at the Nevada Test and Training Range. The requirement centers on providing up to eight self-propelled, reusable vehicle targets (TMT-Vs) and twenty-four personnel targets (TMT-Is) that must operate on rough terrain, withstand impacts from .50 caliber and similar munitions, transmit real-time telemetry and video, and be remotely controllable from at least one nautical mile. These targets must be capable of resetting after engagement, presenting thermal signatures, and supporting the carriage of various 3D silhouettes. The Government seeks information on vendor capabilities, including proposed response time to a future RFP, the timeframe needed to transition and begin service after award, and business size classifications such as small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, or HubZone status. Responses must include firm identification, CAGE code, and contact details and are due by 1600 PDT on Monday, 29 June 2026, submitted exclusively via email to Amber Rivera at amber.rivera.2@us.af.mil. The effort is governed by FAR Part 10, and no formal solicitation or funding is currently available; this notice is purely for market research purposes to assess industry capacity and inform future procurement decisions, including potential set-aside determinations. The performance period is proposed for August through September 2026, with up to five option years that could extend the contract and include additional training periods. Performance will occur on-site at Nellis AFB and the Nevada Test and Training Range, with contractors responsible for setup, operation, and teardown spanning up to two weeks, including arrival up to 14 days prior to training commencement. The Government will provide range access but does not specify packaging, marking, invoice procedures, accounting data, or payment office details, as these will be defined only if a future solicitation proceeds. No evaluation factors, contract clauses, or pricing data are included in this notice, and responses will not be compensated. Questions may be submitted for public posting on Sam.gov or GSA without disclosing the respondent’s identity.
