This project will backfill approximately 1,375 linear feet of the Shark Valley Borrow Canal adjacent to the west side of the Access Road beginning at the Shark Valley Entrance and extending one-third mile south. The project will restore wetland function, improve hydrology, reduce roadway flooding, and create space to improve the entrance corridor for safer traffic flow, emergency access, and increasing visitation demands at this very popular and congested area of the park.
