Full Description

Under Statutory Authority - 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), Hickam Air Force Base anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations with Great Spaces, Inc for MPF Existing Modular Furniture Additions in the 15th Force Support Squadron located Hickam AFB, HI. Great Speaces provides additional pieces of Haworth brand furniture that are compatible with and will compliment the existing set. Great Spaces is the only known distributor of Haworth brand furniture. This announcement is for the online access for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by supplies available from one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by 15 Sept 10 at 1600hrs. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. All interest received on or before 15 Sep 10 will be evaluated by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. NOTE: Perspective contractor are highly encouraged to perform a site visit prior to preparing their proposal. All proposals will be considered, however those contractors actually attending the site visit will be considered above those that did not. Proposal shall include delivery, installation, and electrical setup (Where required) and drawings showing configuration for all furniture and workstations. Contact A1C Praise Petty to arrange attendance for the site visit. A tentative site visit is scheduled for 9:00am (HST) on 9 Sep 10. Contact A1C Petty no later than 2 Sep 10 to reserve a spot.
