1. Sole Source SD Titan Resources 3808 Hawthorne Ave Dallas TX 75219 2. 96 FSS requires a one month extension to the Eglin CDC modular lease as final completion of the permanent CDC will not be completed. This modification to the leasing agreement will enable a transition of 265+ children to a completed facility without any lapse in childcare services. The cost of the extension will be $100,000 and extend it to 10 Feb 12 3. The modular CDC has been in operation since June 2006 under the current contractor. An extension of this contract will ensure an uninterrupted provision of services to its users. The nature of the business, providing child care, is one which requires specific square footage and building requirements to meet safety, health, and educational guidelines set by Department of Defense and National Association of Education for Young Children. During the time of the current contract, the Warrior Group has addressed all issues regarding safety, fire, and building discrepancies noted through daily, weekly, and monthly inspections performed by CDC staff, other base agencies, and Air Force level inspectors. The contract was initiated on September 9, 2005. Upon the onset of this contract, the need for the facility was determined to be no longer than 5 years; however, with the unexpected delay in construction of the MILCON and BRAC CDCs which now have an estimated completion date 10 Feb 12, it is imperative that the lease be extended. Remaining in the modular facility until the new permanent facility is complete will ensure a smooth and seamless transition from one facility to another while continuously complying with all guidelines and regulations governing the child development program which provides a "home away from home" for 265+ children. The need to factor in transition time from the modular facility to the permanent facility will extend the use of the modular facility until the end, as long as the construction process meets the expected construction time line. 3. Market research and inquires to other modular facility providers was conducted although, the cost benefits of utilizing the existing structure exceed the replacement of facility to fulfill the requirement.
