Notice of Intent to Award Acadience Math
Solicitation # ASD08252026AG
Alpine School District intends to award a sole source contract to Acadience Learning Online for digital administration licenses of Acadience Math online assessments for grades K through 3 for the 2026 to 2027 school year. The estimated value of this procurement is 64,000 dollars. This award is being pursued without a standard competitive process under Utah Code 63G-6a-802 because Acadience Learning Online is the sole provider of the proprietary platform. Furthermore, the district already utilizes the platform for reading assessments and the Utah State Board of Education uses it for state assessments, meaning a different provider would result in significant transitional costs regarding data integration, implementation, and staff training. The procurement process allows for written challenges from other vendors until September 1, 2026, provided they can demonstrate the ability to provide a comparable or better product. The contract is subject to Alpine School District standard terms and conditions, which include requirements for F.O.B. destination delivery and payment within 30 days of a correct invoice. Vendors must comply with strict certifications, including anti-boycott actions under Utah Code 63G-27 and various non-discrimination mandates regarding race, religion, sex, age, and disability. The contractor must also certify that they are not currently debarred or suspended from governmental transactions.

Top-Tier K-12 and Postsecondary STEM Talent
Solicitation # HQ003426RFISTEM
The Department of War is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to gather data and recommendations regarding the identification and development of top-tier K-12 and postsecondary STEM talent. This initiative aims to inform a Congressional report requirement and potentially shape future solicitations. The Department defines top-tier talent through a combination of high ability, characterized by technical mastery and academic achievement, and high potential, which includes latent capacities such as advanced spatial visualization and analytical creativity. The RFI seeks input from a wide range of entities, including non-profits, academic institutions, K-12 schools, and government agencies, to identify effective models for scaling STEM programs, engaging diverse student populations—such as those in rural or low socioeconomic communities—and leveraging multi-institution partnerships. Interested parties are asked to provide feedback on the Department's talent definitions, describe existing instructional models, and outline the operational costs and collaborative frameworks required to sustain successful STEM initiatives. Responses must be submitted via email by September 30, 2026, and are limited to six pages. It is important to note that this RFI is a market research tool and does not constitute a formal proposal or a binding contract; the government will not reimburse any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response. All submissions should be unclassified and must include specific organizational contact information.

Or, are goals and objectives of the program being met?Is the program efficient? Or, does the program operate in the best way to attain results or are there alternatives or better ways it could be implemented? Is the program relevant? Or, does the program have a significant impact on the students’ and parents’ lives and on the community?
