BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)The Department of National Defence Directorate of Soldier Systems Program Management (DSSPM) has a requirement to procure new Extreme Cold Sleeping Bag, Army. The intention of the future RFP is for stock replenishment of the new system. In preparation for the RFP, this RFI seeks to obtain feedback from industry on the attached Draft Extreme Cold Sleeping Bag, Army for the Department of National Defence as well as responses to other specific DND questions posed herein. Further, interested vendors are requested to provide feedback on the proposed high level procurement strategy details associated with this requirement.This RFI is intended to support a purchase for stock replenishment and sustainment.The objectives of this RFI are:a. To gain a clear understanding of the different types of commercial off the shelf or military off the shelf products available for purchase.b. To gain industry insight and determine the feasibility and appropriateness of the requirements.c.
